Crooked lawyer No I
So it actually looks like my crooked lawyer friend and I are going to Tenerife after all. But after searching the net I couldn't find one airline that flies directly from Zürich to Tenerife (M was surprised and promised to send me info, but didn't. Guess he didn't find it either, despite "what? Of course there are direct flights!").
So the plan is to fly to Ireland and meet up with Bro in the process, then fly from Belfast (Northern Ireland, different country, for any ignorant people :) together. Not a bad idea, since Air Lingus flies directly from Zürich to Dublin, and there are direct flights from Belfast to Tenerife. That way I can meet up with Bro, and fly together with crooked lawyer. Instead of flying from Zürich via Madrid, Frankfurt or any other godforsaken place losing a day in the process. Killing two birds with one stone.
PS. Only a 3-hour drive approx between Dublin and Belfast.

I too find it hard to believe there are no direct flights to Tenerife, but I guess this just goes to show this is the kind of destination likely to be swarming with Brits instead of the Swiss. godforsaken? I'd agree on the Frankfurt front but I thought Madrid was pretty nice, Belfast on the other hand...
Yes, Madrid is actually nice but I would just be passing through the airport. And airports anywhere are crap. Except for Copenhagen.

Never been so cannot say. But I am going to Tenerife. And Dublin. Have booked now.
