Caught in customs
Or custody as CG insists on calling it. He came back yesterday having been stopped in customs at the Swiss border. In the trunk they found a knife, which apparently is forbidden to bring into Switzerland. Which is funny, since ze Swiss make it their business to export knives, and it's part of their image. But I guess it was the wrong kind of knife.
After having found this they did a full body search "they touched my privates!" and kept him in a room guarded by a military policeman for hours (it kinda holds a certain appeal to me though :).
Eventually he was released but had to pay 300 Swissies in penalty. He was not a happy man coming home. "That knife travelled the world with me, I have cut Turkish tomatoes and bananas in Bali with it". Well, it won't be travelling much more. I tell ya, ze Swiss love ze rules.

gees, what was it, some kind of hybrid Rambo-Mick Dundee super knife or something? sounds like a case of pick on the German to me (not that they dont desertve it but still!)
He's a paramedic and had the knife in case of emergency in the car.
Yes, definitely a case of pick on the Germans.
