I have a friend who is, how shall I put it?, a bit fascistic in his view on marriage. To him it is holy. To me it's a joke.
Turns out he likes old movies, so I took upon myself to remind him of some of my favourite films.
Gone with the wind, where Scarlett O'Hara (Vivien Leigh) marries three men, but is only in love with one of them.
Casablanca, where Ilse (isn't that her name? played by Ingrid Bergman) has two men.
And finally Dr Zhivago (Omar Sharif), where he plays around with two women.
Next time I see him I think we'll have a conversation on exactly why he likes these movies.
