Omg, I cannot believe it! Friend who visited tonight have never heard of West Wing! I don't how many exclamation marks I can put in here, but it'll never be enough. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a treat she has in front of her. And she's the typical person to appreciate a clever series like this. Smart and savvy. And fluent in English (which is not everybody here in ze Switzerland).
I so look forward to her feedback.
And yes, I'm watching this series for the about the 10th time! One wonders if it makes me 10 times more clever? Probably than most people...

I must admit although I know plenty about the West Wing, I've never really watched it - I always seemed to miss when it was screened on TV and I don't really like watching DVDs - and American politics bores me to death - so sick of hearing about their elections
Look fw to hear your comment after you've seen it. And what's wrong with dvd's?
Don't hold your breath.
With DVDs, its partly that I can't be bothered with the effort - planning in advance to watch something in particular, obtaining the DVD from somewhere (I never buy them 'cos I rarely watch anything more than once so I find them a total waste of money and space), loading it, having to pause when you need to get up to go to the loo or whatever 'cos there's no ad breaks, etc. And partly because its so deliberate, going to all that effort to watch something from TV just seems wrong. But I willingly admit its totally nonsensical - I easily waste lots of time watching total crap on TV just because its all thats on (and its free) and I don't have any DVDs (and am too lazy to figure out illegal free downloads) ;)
