Sambal oelek

I was looking up a recipe yesterday, and saw an ingredient listed that I had never heard of. Sambal oelek. When googling I realized it was a Thai/Malaysian paste with chili. Excellent!

Then I forgot all about it. Until I was shopping today, and accidently saw a bottle with "Sambal oelek" on it, and remembered, yes, chili! Reading on the label it turned out to be 86% pure chili and very few other ingredients, yes I know 14%, but nothing with E numbers, and I decided to take a leap of faith and buy it.

Whoa! Tasting it, I realized it's just up my alley, stuff I love to add to dishes. Now I just have to learn to remember the name.
