Hair of the dog

The other night we were talking about the English expression "hair of the dog", which means that when you're hungover you have another drink as a sort of a cure. Something I have never practised (the morning after a drink is the last thing I want!). Anyway, conversation went from there to a dog. The friend said that if she had a dog she would name it Schmidt. If you're on the inside, you know why. We had great fun with "Sit, Schmidt!", "Roll over, Schmidt!" and "Play dead Schmidt!". Guess it's one of these occasions when you had to be there to find it hilarious.
