Mangle

An appliance that is really out of fashion (out of laziness?) is the mangle. I miss it. When I was little we used to have one first in the shared wash room in the basement, and later one of our own. To go to bed in freshly mangled linen, have old-fashioned cotton towels crisp as paper, that is quality if you ask me. If I only had an extra room I would have my own mangle, but I guess that would be considered luxury. And my late beloved grandmother used to mangling linen for a living! Imagine that.
