Curling

Curling for most people means an obscure sport. You know, throwing some sort of bowl on the ice, sweeping it to make it go smoother and reach its goal.

Where I come from we refer to parents as curling ditto, when they do nothing but take care of everything for their kids.

If you never have to fight to get anywhere in life, how can you be expected to achieve anything? If everything is smooth sailing, and no struggle, then I think most youngsters will feel that this is life. Why go the extra mile?

I have the perfect example. One of my close friends spends most of his weekends helping his kids. And they are 33 and 35! Get my point?

ha! there are too many people out there that do this. I so don't get it. Don't people want their kids to grow up to be independent and streetwise? My Aunt still buys all the Christmas presents for my cousin to give to people including the one he gives to his wife - he's 40. I hope I never molly-coddle my kids like that!

I will slap you if you do this to your kid! Ok, if this is the "Anonymous" I think it is. Otherwise I'll just slap in general.
