Help the homeless
Some people do much better in meetings in person, than on the telephone. The manager of the Pfarrer Sieber organization is one of them.
Despite him being religious he turned out to be really nice and friendly. And I didn't get the feeling that he was like that because I might throw him some money.
He was very enthusiastic in telling me about their work, and I must say they seem to do a lot of good.
The next step is that I will go with him one day to help the homeless. Bet you didn't think I was the type!

yay, glad it worked out well so far, and that they seem like a good organisation. I must admit I am often kinda (probably unfairly) suspicious about these religious organisations but many of them seem to do really good things without necessarily pushing the religious agenda. and I think its great that you are making an effort to find out first hand what the organisation is like and get involved. So when is this 'one day'?
Dunno yet. The priest I was meeting with threw out this suggestion just as I was leaving. Said I'd think about it, but when I got home I sent him an email saying yes, I'd like that. Waiting for an answer. But trust me, once it's there, it'll be right here on the blog!
