Met up with a gay friend today. And as most gay people he likes to know what's going on in other gay people's life. Since we happen to have some mutual friends he asked me if I knew what X was doing today. And I answered, quite truthfully, I think he's visiting your ex-wife. It wasn't until later I realized how weird that actually sounds. But I have a friendgirl whos father is gay. I have another friendgirl whos sister is lesbian. I have friends with plastic Mums and Dads, kids from previous marriages, family constellations that would have been unheard of only 30 years ago. One friendgirl had a kid a long time ago that was adopted, but they are now reunited. And there is absolutely nothing strange with these types of families these days. Who said it was better before?
