Graduation

Had lunch with a Swiss let's call him an acquaintance today. Very nice. Outdoor lunch. Good talk and so forth. And apparently I have now graduated to a kiss-kiss-kiss-situation. This I tell you is a great step forward with ze Swiss. It's almost like we are friends now. I have often wondered why ze Swiss have so few friends outside the family, but since all of them are shy by nature it's like the blind leading the blind when it comes to making friends here. Whereas I am like a bull in a china shop in comparison. On the other hand I tend to get hurt more, but think I've gotten more thick-skinned with age. Anyway, most of my Swiss friends took a lot of effort. Me calling and emailing like 10 times before they finally caved in and started to even initiate communication. Good thing I'm not a quitter :)
