Had the guy from the Zürich Krebsliga over to check on my translation draft. He seemed pretty happy, and told me that because I'm the target group my opinion matters a great deal.
Ok, so now I'm a target group. Hmmm.
But we also discussed donations. In my opinion there is enough money flooding to research and medical care here in Switzerland, but not enough to make people feel good. Therefore part of my estate will go to self-help-groups who consist of volunteers who organizes evenings where cancer-sick people can meet, relax, have a drink, eat something and talk to other people in the same predicament.
Like women in their 40's with breast cancer, or young people affected by lymphoma, or even older men with prostate cancer. Somewhere they can feel they are amongst equals, and be able to share concerns, anxiety and experiences.
Yes, that's more me. Rather a glass of wine and a chat, than manuals.
