Today everything was back to normal in the riding lesson, we all got our favs. But I gotta say, that it's getting to be a bit not boring, but I would like to be more challenged. Not having the same procedure every time.
Yes, I know, I'm not professional, nor do I have an ambition to be, but I would like to jump or at least do something that is different from the time before.
However, when you deal with live animals you never know what is going to happen. After the lesson we dismounted, and then you normally prepare the horse a bit before it's your time to take it to the stables. One at a time.
Prepare means you slacken the girth, untie the bridon a bit and put the stirrups up. When all this was done the new students had come into the riding hall, and one had a fit, started galloping uncontrollably and upset all the other horses. This you have to have respect for, I mean you are in charge of 500 kg's of muscles and bones.
But it ended well, and I got to take my beloved Feri into the stables, take the saddle off, the thingies they have around their ankles and lead him into the box. And of course the best bit, give him the carrots I carefully prepared, having sliced them into nice pieces, which he picks up so gently from my palm.
It's funny, when I'm there I'm thinking to have my own horse would be a dream. However, when not there I'm thinking what a chore and responsibility that would be. I'm torn.
And now I can think about it for two weeks, since next Friday is Eastern and no riding lesson :(.
