An old friend

Got a phone call this evening from an old friend. We met in 1995, together with a third friend. Third friend and I had a fall-out about 5 years ago and haven't spoken since. Old friend now sits in between, and doesn't like it since third friend doesn't like him having contact with me. I on the other hand have no problem with them having contact. Why should I? Old friend wishes that we kiss and make up but I don't really want to. Prefer to keep my good friends, and not be re-acquainted with bad ones. Losing friends is all part of life's rich tapestry...
