Nah, I'm not gonna get a hat for the wedding. What a stupid idea! If you think about it, how many people do you see on the street who wears a hat? Which means that there are virtually no stores who sell them, and those who do, charge a fortune. And they're all ugly, trust me, I checked.
I came up with another idea. I got one of those steely bands you put on your head (glittery with silver!), and I'm gonna stick a flower in it. A live one. I'll find one on site I'm sure.
A cheap solution, but a better one I think. After all, if I for once in my life is gonna have my hair done nicely, I don't want to cover it under a hat!

When you see what passes as hats these days, ref recent royal wedding in the UK, I´m sure you can get away with this :-)

Excellent idea I think. I did something very similar last time I was required to wear a hat or equivalent (for the horse races). Choose a hardy flower - many will look pretty wilty and generally crapy by the end of the day .Lots of bobby pins and hairspray needed to keep it in place.
I'll use it for the ceremony only, and lose it later in the evening.
