Confused II

Actually, the boat phone call was rather confusing (twice in a day!). First I called, and there was no answer and no voice box. Then this guy called back, but from another number, and you know how it is. A muffled voice, saying something unintelligible. So I had to ask "who is this?", which is not exactly the best introduction. But once that was sorted it was fine. So I said, I got your number from ...(and here I had to rack my brain for his surname...I mean, I usually see this guy out in town...having a drink...it's not exactly a formal relationship, and he's only an acquaintance, not a close friend). But got it in the end. So there we are. Contact established. Now it's a waiting game to see if he can help. Story certainly to be cont'd...
