I read that they hanged Saddams half-brother. In the process his head apparently got disconnected (read ripped off) from his body. They described it as an "unfortunate incident".

Yeah, I guess so. Not that it matters when you're gonna kill somebody anyway, but why not make it "humane"? Ok, so is there a humane way of killing somebody?
