Another dressing please

Seems like my mind is focused a lot on food these days :), which made me think of ze Swiss. I don't think I have ever hosted a dinner party for ze Swiss without them either telling me how to cook something differently, ask for another dressing, an extra plate, or plainly inform me that they do not like a particular spice or similar. First I took offense, since this is unheard of where I come from. There you always eat what is served, and if you don't like it, you at least do not say something. You just eat less. Ok, exceptions for vegetarians (why anybody would be that is beyond me but fine, or if you're allergic). I cannot decide what I think about it. On one hand I like honest people, and when they do say that they like something I can trust their opinion. On the other hand, sometimes I just feel like I can do nothing right. This evening cooking fish for a friend, will report later on extra demands :)

really, I've never had Swiss people respond like that - maybe you just know rude people? ;)
Chinese however are always sure they know better

'another dressing...'

go the the ETH, that's where I found 'em.
but why would you want people to tell you how your cooking is wrong?

Yes I know, I saw too late that I misread your comment and responded thereafter...didn't think anybody would notice!

Good to know I'm watched :)
