For some reason I got to think of "All creatures great and small", and to my delight found many episodes on youtube.
These are based on books I remember reading when I was little.
It is based in the 1930's Yorkshire and the main figure is a vet called Herriot. He works with the choleric Siegfried Farnon and his irresponsible brother Tristan.
It is a real feel-good series with a good insight to how it was in the days before I was born. And of course the love for animals.
Can recommend.
