To get over the shock I had to go shopping (gosh, what am I turning into?). Actually I needed summer shoes and after again being shocked over the prices in the city (no way am I paying 99 francs for a pair of sandals!) I found two pairs in my local shop.
Apparently the new in-thing is to open and close them in the back. Nice to be hip for once.
