Went back to the lamp shop today, and it turns out that 90% of the wall lamps are required to have an electrical outlet on the wall, and no cable. Told him I have never seen this in Switzerland, and that they should have informed me.
Now I'm gonna have to pay 50 francs more to have it fitted with cables. But ok, I like the lamps and once it's done, it's done.
But I will think twice before I go back to that shop.
