No more than almost four months it took for the canton to approve me! Yes, I'm being a tad ironic here, but hey, having lived in Switzerland for 13 years one gets accustomed to the bureaucracy.
However, the decision was taken already on the 27th of August, but arrived to me only today, almost two months later. Where happened to my application in between?
And I'm a bit confused. I think they say that within 3-5 months I shall receive the formal acceptance, and then I have to supply copies of my payments, both to the city and the canton. Why I ask? Because it earlier said that my application wouldn't go any further unless I paid, so they must know that I did pay. Communication people! Plus the original document that I am approved. Which I first thought was the paper I received today.
I shall have to consult with a real Swissie!

Yup, I am now assuming that it'll go through and no more admin stuff will be required from me (except the final document plus the payment copies).
