Having a birthday coming up I suggested to SBN that perhaps we have a dinner or something that day. It wasn't met with fireworks enthusiasm exactly, more like "yeah ok". Hmmm. Decided more drastic measures needed to be taken so sent an sms to the ex: "Yes thank you very much for inviting me for a birthday dinner. I would like to come". Smiley. Emphasis on come in case you didn't get it. It took him about 2 seconds from when I pressed 'send' to call me. So now I'm invited for a birthday dinner. Funny that how things can happen if you just push a little bit...
