Spoke to a friend today who lives in Chicago. She told me about a snowstorm last week. And I said well, you live in the Windy city. Which Chicago is known as. Stupid me, thinking it was actually because it's placed next to Lake Michigan, and is quite windy. The expression comes from the politicians. How was I supposed to know?
