Today I learned a new saying in German "Man schmückt sich nicht mit fremden Federn", meaning you don't take credit for something you haven't done. I'm not sure if it tops the other saying I learned "Dein Argument steht auf wachliche Füsse", meaning your argument is not valid...literally means standing on wobbly feet. Or rather not.
And yes I know, I probably misspelt it, but you get the meaning. And I am against my will a bit drawn to ze German language. So shoot me. However, the 100+ million people (give or take) who have German as a first language, probably will appaud me.
Just saying.
